Service description

STAX Data is a macro-investing research workbench: interactive dashboards built from fundamentals and macroeconomic data, a watchlist, and AI-generated company analyses. The Service is daily/end-of-day data only — it does not provide intra-day quotes or real-time streaming prices.

Eligibility & account

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access another user's data, interfering with the Service's operation, or using automated means to scrape or extract data beyond what the Service's own export/share features provide.

Subscription, billing & auto-renewal

The Free plan is available at no cost. The Pro plan is billed at $9/mo and renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage billing; your Pro access continues through the end of the period you already paid for.

Data sources & attribution

Fundamentals and pricing data are sourced from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP); macroeconomic series are sourced from the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) API maintained by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Data is provided "as is" and may be delayed or revised by the upstream provider.

AI-generated content is not financial advice

Company analyses generated by the Service are produced by an AI model and are provided for informational purposes only. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any investment decision.

Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and its underlying software are owned by STAX Data or its licensors. You retain ownership of the dashboards and expressions you create; you grant us a license to store and process them to operate the Service.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, STAX Data will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any investment decision made in reliance on data or analysis it provides.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
